What we do to ensure our positive impact outweighs the negative:
Local
- Create jobs in the town where we live ourselves
- Hire local contractors and craftsmen
- Collaborate with local businesses
- Welcome interns from local schools
- Run projects where seniors contribute on an hourly basis
Human
- Value and compensate all employees equally
- Meet personal requests that support work-life balance
- Promote physical activity and strength training through our own gym
- Are fair and generous with, for example, summer vacations and Christmas leave
- Encourage new ideas and suggestions for improvement
Knowledge
- Preserve a legacy by keeping production alive
- Seek out new information and learn from others
- Care about opportunities for personal development at work
- Welcome thesis projects
- Advocate for the continued and genuine need for practical knowledge
Environment
- Focus on high-quality products with long lifespans
- Choose materials* for their durability and dimensional stability
- Work with suppliers who have clear environmental profiles
- Offset all electricity used in production
- Reuse leftover colors and recycle other waste as energy through incineration
* NON-WOVEN: The paper pulp comes from traceable FSC-certified forests, and the synthetic fibers are made from recycled material. The paint and varnish are water-based and free from harmful substances.
More initiatives are underway and under review.
